Borderlands 4 official key art featuring a battle-worn robot character and the game logo.
Overview

To celebrate the launch of the latest Borderlands game, I helped bring the franchise's signature chaos to life through an immersive activation at the Vans Warped Tour. The centerpiece of the experience was the Borderlands Ripper Rage Room—a mobile smash room where festivalgoers geared up and unleashed their energy by destroying stacks of plates, musical instruments, vintage electronics, and other breakable objects inside a transparent enclosure that turned every session into live entertainment for the surrounding crowd.

Beyond the Rage Room, the activation invited guests to step inside the world of Borderlands through a series of interactive moments inspired by the game. Fans explored larger-than-life scenic elements, encountered the iconic Claptrap, collected custom spray-on tattoos, and posed with costumed characters from the Borderlands universe. Every touchpoint was designed to capture the franchise's bold personality while creating an unforgettable festival experience that encouraged participation, social sharing, and genuine fan engagement.
